About Canepatch Swash
Canepatch Swash is a narrow inlet on Myrtle Beach's north end where the Atlantic Ocean meets the shallow waters of a salt marsh system, creating a unique tidal environment that attracts shorebirds, small fish, and curious beachgoers exploring tide pools. The area offers calmer, shallower water than the open ocean beach, making it ideal for wading, kayaking, and observing marine life in their natural habitat rather than swimming or surfing. The swash's protected, natural setting feels more secluded than the main beach strips, with a quieter vibe that appeals to nature lovers and photographers seeking the interplay between coastal and marsh ecosystems.
