About Caswell Beach
Caswell Beach is a quiet, family-friendly barrier island on the southern tip of Oak Island known for its calm, shallow waters protected by nearby shoals, making it ideal for swimming and wading. The beach attracts shellers and nature enthusiasts who explore its relatively undeveloped shoreline and nearby Oak Island Lighthouse, while the calm bay-side waters on the western shore offer excellent kayaking and paddleboarding opportunities. Its low-key residential character and minimal commercial development give it a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere distinct from the busier tourist beaches nearby.

Beautiful! My friend has a home on caswell and the beach is quiet. There is a Baptist Retreat at Fort Caswell also private and gated. We went for a retreat and the property was lovely with b chances of course. We also visited the Oak Island Lighthouse. Access from beach and a lot adjacent to the lighthouse.
We enjoyed walking down this beach very much. The pelicans were busy hunting out in the ocean so we were entertained by their dives. It was quiet. We loved being able to take our dogs there. That is why we chose this beach today.
This beach was amazing and so beautiful!. My family had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time we spent here. We were only here for a short mini vacation but we had a blast!.
Been looking for a quiet beach with soft sand like this for a minute. Hopefully this review doesn't spoil it.
Pretty. Nice signage about wildlife. Polluted shoreline from upriver with coal wood etc from industry cape fear river ๐ฅ
