About Childrens Beach
Childrens Beach offers calm, shallow waters perfect for young swimmers, with a gentle sandy bottom that slopes gradually into the harbor. The beach sits in the heart of Nantucket Town with views of moored sailboats and the iconic lighthouse, creating a picturesque New England backdrop that feels both scenic and accessible. The nearby downtown location means families can easily combine beach time with exploring the town's shops and restaurants, making it a practical hub for visitors rather than a secluded escape.

Best place to bring the kids to play. I would not recommend it for a swim in the busy season - water is always dirty from the boats. Beach has weird texture sand. Kids love to dig up for crabs and little creatures. Park and playground are great. Perfect for a picnic and sports. Great spot to chill and watch the harbor. Grab the kids' scooters and bikes - safe for them. Park is also great to do small birthday celebrations - plenty of picnic tables. There is a little breakfast place located next to the playground. Restrooms are open only in the summer. Check the local site for events calendar. They have fun things for the kids in the summertime.
Nice little beach โฑ๏ธ for kids. Decent harbor views of the โต as well
Great beach and playground for under 12.
We went for a walk here, was a nice clean beach with a lot of area to play. Calm waters and it seemed shallow which would be great for small children. Can watch the ferries come and go
A wonderful place for photo ops if you have an artistic side, a great space for kids and adults, a short walk to town for grubs.
