Coquina Beach

This was our first time at this particular 4x4 Beach (with permit). It offers a parking lot for those not driving on beach to park (its separated from beach parking for safety). You will see a lot of folks fishing and enjoying the beach. We really enjoyed our day there. It's dog friendly (on leash and please of course pick up after your dog). Great place to enjoy the NC Coast. Please remember to leave no trash behind. Note 4 out of 5 is great. I always reserve a star if I need to air down and no air station provided.

I have traveled to many places in my lifetime. This beach is in my top five favorite places to simply exist. It is clean and the views are so lovely. Great spot to feel grounded.

This is probably my favorite beach between Kitty Hawk and South Nags Head, everyone is busy up north but if you take the drive south to Coquina you will find it less crowed. I feel it’s also a cleaner beach, it does have a lifeguard station with bathrooms and showers. You can also get a permit and it has a ramp for drive on fun, just make sure you have a vehicle to do so like 4x4 or AWD. Oh… also in this area I tend to see more dolphins in the area which is awesome!
