About County Beach
County Beach offers a quiet, rocky shoreline along Key West's Atlantic side, providing a more natural and undeveloped alternative to the island's crowded tourist beaches. The shallow, calm waters and absence of heavy commercial development make it a favored spot for locals seeking a peaceful escape, though visitors should note the rocky bottom and occasional seaweed. Its authentic, low-key atmosphere and proximity to Old Town attractions appeal to those looking for a genuine Key West experience beyond the typical resort beach scene.

July 29, 2023- Horrible, super nasty water conditions, full of seaweed, no one in here using this side of the beach. All this area is no longer what it used to be with clean white sandy water. Not recommended.
I went during a storm, the winds approximately 40 knots to 60 knots, wild chickens roam around this location too, perfect spot to catch the sunrise (instead my visit brought a storm with a lightning show). Itβs too bad Google map doesnβt take videos easily :(
My friends and I meet here regularly for evenings on the beach. Itβs perfect π₯°
Worst beach what I have seen.
Wish they had working shower
