About Craigville Beach, Barnstable
Craigville Beach is a family-friendly sandy shore on Cape Cod's south side known for its calm, warm waters that heat up quickly in summer, making it ideal for swimming and wading. The wide beach offers plenty of space for sunbathing and beach games, while its proximity to the village of Craigville provides easy access to shops and restaurants within walking distance. The relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere and consistently good water conditions throughout July and August make it a popular spot for multigenerational families returning year after year.

Cool little beach πand it's only 7 min from my house (we're new to the area) it was our first time visiting Craigsville Beach and we had a great time we arrived at 4pm and it wasn't too crowded, the water πwas warm compared to what I was expecting and my family actually went swimming! π€½ββοΈFirst time actually swimming in the ocean this summer! I will say the only Con's to my experience was the porta potty and the sand was... idk thick? Or made up of bigger grains causing us to not be able to make a sand castle it was more like sand lump lol and it's pretty difficult to walk in. Overall, we had a nice time and will be returning for sure! ππ¦
Itβs a great beach to see the sunset (during winterβs time) about the beach, is not as great as Iβm used to but one of the best in Cape Cod. During the summer you have access to the restrooms and there are lifesavers as well. Thereβs plenty of space to park your car too.
I would have given 5 stars, but the parking went up to 25 dollars a day to swim and enjoy the beach. Way to much and I think it's just greed taking over the cape , just like every where else now π.
Very nice if you get there early in the morning and find a spot to set up. We arrived about 8:50 in the morning and it was already starting to get filled up on a Saturday. We had a fantastic family time the water was relatively warm compared to what I thought it would be based on some of the other reviews. The kids had fun running up and down the shoreline but quite a bit of seaweed they had to navigate but not rocky or too many shells compared to some of the other beaches weβve tried on the Cape. The bathroom was very close and conveniently located on the beach for the kids to use. It was clean and we appreciated that the soap was filled and water was easy to use unlike some public bathrooms. The shower outside the restroom was weak mist so if you are trying to get sand off the kids or yourself, it might be near impossible if you donβt spend a while working at it. Parking was twenty five dollars, I suppose this helps with the lifeguards and the cleanliness of the restrooms. Once it hit about One in the afternoon it was completely packed, very nice people though so it wasnβt a bother with the exception of some people not securing their umbrellas properly so they flew around momentarily. I helped one couple with their umbrella but it almost hit an older couple nearby. There is a place across the street for some fried fish and other snacks so you donβt really have to bring things for the kids or yourself to eat. A nice little spot to sit down and eat. We will definitely return again next year this beach was superior to the 3 others we have tried on the Cape.
Nice long beach with a lovely water, soft waves, and a gorgeous sunset
