About Currituck County Southern Public Beach Access
This quiet Outer Banks beach offers calm, shallow waters ideal for families and beginners, backed by wide sandy shores and the distinctive maritime forest landscape characteristic of North Carolina's northern Outer Banks. The access point draws a more local, laid-back crowd than busier nearby beaches, making it excellent for swimming, kayaking, and shelling without heavy crowds. The relatively undeveloped character of the surrounding area preserves a more natural, peaceful beach experience while still providing convenient public facilities.

Really great beach I loved it!!! I would go there all the times!!! Itβs just expensive rentals and you can find little jellyfish. Overall, we loved it as a family and enjoy my pictures!!! I made sure I took a lot of pictures that way to give you a really good idea about the place and the beach. I will be taking more pictures later around the city and around the rental property.
Great beach access. Parking and bathrooms. A bit more crowded than most. All OBX beaches are nice.
Great beach! Bathrooms are pretty nice and clean for beach bathrooms. Outdoor showers to rinse off. Access to the beach is easy and there's a good amount of parking for golf carts.
Limited parking and a long walk but otherwise a beautiful beach!
We had a good time looking for shells and other beach treasures. Found several horseshoe crabs exoskeletons and sadly, a few dead puffer fish.
