Dionis Beach

The view from the trail is beautiful. I wasn’t brave enough to walk down to the actual beach. It seems like a quiet area. Unfortunately during our visit here there was a couple drinking and driving with an infant child in the car.

Dionis Beach is a calm and classic beach on the north side of Nantucket that is well-loved and used by just about everybody. Calm, clear blue water makes it popular with families and experienced swimmers alike.

Pick up your bike in the Historic District and make the easy ride out to this beach along your journey. Bike rack to lock up your stuck. Simply bathrooms on site. Take the path to climb over the dunes and you'll be rewarded with a gorgeous beach. When we were there on a Saturday, it was well-monitored by lifeguards. Plenty of room to walk along the shore should you want and lots of sand on which to stretch out.

Great beach for the kids. A lot of seashells and beautiful rocks to scavenge. Take your water shoes to walk comfortably on the shells. Paved Parking lot I didn’t see any restrooms Sun does not set on water. Sun sets behind the dunes. Great for photos in the evening with subject on the water edge and ocean backdrop. This side of the island has much calmer water and less wind. (Similar to Steps Beach and Brants point)
