About Driftwood Beach
Driftwood Beach is renowned for its dramatic landscape of bleached, skeletal trees jutting from the sand and shallow water, creating an otherworldly natural sculpture garden that photographers and artists find irresistible. The calm, shallow waters and relatively protected conditions make it ideal for wading and kayaking, while the eroded shoreline and maritime forest remnants offer a glimpse of how coastal ecosystems change over time. The beach has a contemplative, artistic atmosphere that draws visitors seeking something more introspective than typical Georgia beach scenes, especially at sunrise or sunset when the dead trees cast haunting silhouettes.

Spectacularβ¦ one of the places Iβll never forget. We parked across the street and walked around the beach. It is very cool and different.
Absolutely STUNNING location with so many things to see and explore. Not your average beach at all. This is a place to interact with, and truly be amazed. The trees here are over 500 years old and they are magnificent!!!!
Driftwood Beach is a spectacular beach on the coast of Georgia. The shoreline looks like a movie set, with massive, weathered trees and their exposed roots scattered across the sand along the Atlantic shore. Itβs truly one of a kind and a must-visit spot for anyone driving south toward Florida.
You have to stop and see this place! Itβs unlikely other beaches for sure! The trees are bare and look dead but yet they are rooted in the sand and some are rooted in the water! Itβs a great place to meditate and take pictures! Very little parking when itβs busy and no rest rooms. Keep that in mind
This beach was so beautiful and amazing. My mouth dropped when I saw it. I was in awe the entire time we were there. It was like one big work of art. The drift wood, tree with sea shells, rocks look like they were perfectly placed. It looked like a complete masterpiece! I parked in a little area on the side of the road and walked a little trail to get to the beach. There was brown sand first and as you continue to walk, you hit the beautiful white sand. You probably shouldnβt walk the beach in sandals but I did with no problems. It would be better if you wore tennis shoes. You will do quite a bit of walking to see the driftwood. But it was well worth it. This beach is awesome and does NOT disappoint! This is definitely worth every bit of time youβll spend there. If I could give this beach over 5 stars, I would. This is definitely a MUST see! πππππ
