About Eugenia Fortes Beach
Eugenia Fortes Beach offers calm, shallow waters ideal for families and swimmers, backed by a scenic jetty that provides interesting exploration opportunities and natural breakwater protection. The beach sits in a quieter corner of Hyannis with a neighborhood feel, attracting locals who appreciate its less crowded atmosphere compared to nearby commercial beaches. A small sandy area paired with grassy surroundings makes it convenient for picnicking and sunbathing without the carnival-like crowds of busier Cape Cod destinations.
Visitor Reviews
It is a quiet corner of the Cape, just outside the Kennedy compound, the early November sunset cast a fleeting golden light โ adding a touch of life to a place so rich with history.
Warning everything is No No No in typical New England style . A very small beach to public. But parking lot is for locals only by permit. If you want to see the compound from the beach . You will have to drop off your friends or family and have them call you when they are done. Then pick them up.
A small private beach named after a civil rights movement activist who was asked to and refused to leave it during the segregation times in 1945. Limited sticker parking, rocks, and seaweed. Dog friendly!
Very nice family beach area in Hyannis, Cape Cod. Off street parking, easy walk from street to beach. Great views of sail boats.
Sunrise view. Sign said resident sticker required but nobody was policing the parking lot at sunrise.
