About Grays Beach
Grays Beach is a sheltered bayside beach on Cape Cod Bay known for its calm, shallow waters that warm quickly in summer, making it ideal for families and swimmers seeking gentler conditions than ocean beaches. The beach features extensive tidal flats that expose sandbars at low tide, creating unique opportunities for exploring tide pools and a distinctive landscape that shifts dramatically throughout the day. Its relaxed, low-key atmosphere attracts locals and visitors seeking a quieter alternative to the Cape's busier Atlantic-facing beaches.
Visitor Reviews
What a fantastic beach! There's no entry fee, and the charming wooden bridge adds to the experience, offering lovely views. During our visit, the low tide allowed us to stroll along the expansive sandy shore. Highly recommended! Parking might be a bit tricky, but it's definitely worth it.
Nice broadwalk and a sunset spot! When it's low tide, you can go for a walk and find a lot of little crabs. The grass becomes jucy green in summer.
Gorgeous. Long board walk across the marshes to the beach.
The boardwalk is beautiful but be aware during season they charge $20 for beach parking even if you're not going there to spend a day at the beach. We took a trip out to walk the boardwalk which usually only takes us less than 20 minutes but they wouldn't let us in unless we paid the $20 to park. If you want to go to the beach then it's worth it but if you're only going for a quick stop on the boardwalk best to go before or after season.
Play in the incoming tide, but make sure anyone who's not a strong swimmer wears a life jacket
