About Harris Beach

Harris Beach is renowned for its dramatic sea stacks and offshore rock formations that create one of the Oregon Coast's most photographed seascapes, particularly stunning during golden hour. The beach offers tide pools teeming with starfish and anemones, excellent for exploration during low tide, while the sandy cove provides a relatively protected swimming area compared to rougher nearby beaches. The location draws a mix of photographers, families, and nature enthusiasts who appreciate the blend of rugged geology and accessible sandy shores without the crowds of more famous coastal destinations.

Absolutely gorgeous beach. We lucked out and caught a beautiful sunset. The parking lot was pretty full, we arrived about 1 hour before sunset. But the beach was big so it was very spread out and felt like we had the beach to ourselves.

What a great campsite and day use area! We watched someone body surf but thought he was crazy except he decided to have his NY polar bear swim in the sweetest spots - Happy New Year dude!

Beautiful beach, easy access. There is ramp to the sand. At the top of the ramp is a picnic table with a gorgeous view. We were able to find a parking spot with no trouble. If you have a trailer there are parallel spots. Parking is 10 dollars for Or. State residents. 12 dollars for out of state residents. The app is easy to use to pay.

I’ve been to a lot of beaches up and down the coast, but Harris Beach always stands out. We pulled in on a sunny but super windy day and the views still made it totally worth it. The beaches are beautiful, the rocks are crazy cool to look at, and it feels like you're right in the middle of nature while still being close to town. Parking can get tight depending on the time of day, but if you’re patient, it’s worth the short wait. Definitely one of the best stops in southern Oregon. Just bring a hoodie it gets breezy fast.

Definitely a gorgeous place to watch the sunset. I try to walk to this beach at least once a week.
