About Keiki Beach Queen's Bath
This sheltered cove near Kailua-Kona offers unusually calm, crystal-clear waters protected by natural lava rock formations, making it ideal for families and snorkelers who want to avoid strong currents. The dramatic black lava landscape contrasts sharply with vibrant coral gardens and abundant tropical fish, while the shallow, pool-like conditions create an intimate, almost private-feeling experience compared to busier nearby beaches. The relaxed local vibe and lack of commercial development make it feel like a hidden gem where you can actually hear ocean sounds over crowds.

Beautiful hidden gem. Perfect place for kids to swim since the water isnβt rough. Good little snorkeling spot. But not alot of sea life. The public access is behind the aquatic center. Enter the soccer field and follow the fence down on the left hand side.
Nice for kids. Too shallow for adults to enjoy. Once again, poor public access courtesy of the Hawaiian Government. You have to park behind the gym (green), then (red) walk across the football field, step down a tree root rocky embankment, pass through a narrow gate, cross the private road, then follow the sand path. Itβs easy, but not if youβre in a wheelchair or elderly unstable. Hawaii needs to do a better job of improving public access, and not just cater to developers.
Gorgeous quiet beach with calm waves and good water access. As other reviews have mentioned you must look for the public access path behind the ball fields. If you follow Google Maps, it takes you to the private drive. Just go to the right, you will find it. :)
This beach is a hidden gem and beautiful. It was hard to find the public access. The road along the beach was private. We went just before a storm and it was very windy. We didnβt stay long.
Beautiful beach. Mostly lava rock with tidal pools. Doesn't seem like the best swimming area but you can see lots of aquatic life! Public access is behind the aquatic center and you have to walk across the soccer field. There's a little path behind the houses. It's a short easy distance and there are signs.
