Visitor Reviews
Lido Public Beach in Sarasota, Florida, is truly a gem for a relaxing day by the Gulf. The soft, white sand is inviting, and there are plenty of amenities to make your visit comfortable, including restrooms and outdoor showers. Plus, its proximity to St. Armands Circle means you have excellent shopping and dining options just a short walk or drive away. However, one notable drawback for those seeking a tranquil beach experience is the prevalence of wave runners. While they offer an exciting activity for some, their constant presence and noise can detract from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere of the beach, especially for those looking to simply swim or relax by the shore. Overall, Lido Public Beach is a fantastic destination with beautiful scenery and convenient facilities. Just be prepared for the buzz of wave runners if you're hoping for an entirely serene beach day.
Beautiful location amenities are great, got here at 5:35 right on time to watch now the sunset. Rating is completely effected by missing the sunset due to the maintenance person not allowing wife to use the restroom before closure of park hours. I spent to much money to stay in this area for this BS!!!
Beautiful and clean! The sand is white, and the water is gorgeous! Free parking with a playground and picnic tables makes this beach as family friendly as they come. And it wasn't overly crowded either!
Love this beach. We always stop when we come to Florida. It's a nice beach that has a lot of shells. It's also a lot less crowded. where we go, it's a little bit of a trek, but it's worth it. Depending on the time if year, some areas might be blocked off to protect the sea turtles/nests
Very nice beach, clean, and a lot of space to lay out your beach towel and chill. Great parking and there's lots of cool shops in the area. We got there pretty close to sunset and found a parking place right away, walk down and ran our toes through the water, and since we're from West Palm we noticed that it's a lot different type of Beach than the beaches in South Florida on our side of the peninsula. Sand is much whiter.
