About Lighthouse Beach
Lighthouse Beach offers calm, shallow waters perfect for swimming and paddleboarding, backed by views of the iconic Edgartown Harbor Light and the working fishing village beyond. The narrow strip of sand attracts a mix of families and locals who appreciate its protected location on Edgartown Harbor rather than the open Atlantic, making it ideal for those seeking gentler conditions than the island's ocean beaches. The adjacent lighthouse and nearby restaurants and shops create a quintessential Martha's Vineyard experience in a compact, walkable setting.

Short & sweet walk to the lighthouse.
Breathtaking!
I have to say: although I'm already impressed by all of Edgartown, the lighthouse and its beach are in a class of their own! You simply have to visit here if you're on Martha's Vineyard...it's simply beautiful, even if it's 91Β°F like here. So, you're guaranteed a cool dip in the Atlantic.
