About McGee Beach
McGee Beach offers calm, shallow waters ideal for families and swimmers, backed by a wide sandy shoreline with excellent visibility into Corpus Christi Bay. The beach sits near the downtown waterfront district, providing convenient access to restaurants and shops while maintaining a relaxed, local atmosphere away from the busier tourist zones. Popular activities include swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing from the adjacent pier, with the protected bay waters making it one of the most accessible beaches in the area for beginners and young children.

Beautiful beach. Nice view. Wish I could have stayed longer. Cole Park Pier lovely
It was very beautiful to see I drove hours here on my day off to see the sunrise on the beach however when I got there with my boyfriend at around 6 am we just seemed very unwelcome. They started combing the beach at around 7 right after we had found the perfect spot to lay down and we were asked to move. We were the only ones on the beach besides the workers and we felt as if we were not allowed to be there :( only got to stay for about two hours before sadly having to drive home.
As a Corpus Christi native this is my go to beach for when I just want to chill and spend a few hours at the beach! I call it the βcasual beachβ
Decent beach near the city, acceptable if you want the convenience of city dining and access to the water. Sadly there is a lot of plastic, trash, and cigarette butts scattered around. There was even broken glass near the trash can. Would love to see no smoking signs and no glass bottles enforced here to preserve what could be a very nice place for visitors.
Love it better then matagorda π€
