The iconic lifeguard towers. Nice vibe, big beach didn’t feel overcrowded due to long beach strip We came from downtown with bus 100 (only $ 2.5 by bus), very easy to get to the beach area and as well in a short walking distance from the bus stop.

lots of seaweed but once you get past it it’s so calm and fun! a manatee came twice the week that we were staying. very cute shells and snails in the water!!
If you are in Miami it is worth a visit to South Beach. It is a very clean, white sand beach. A very nice beach. However, unless you are a partier, there are so many cooler places to see in Florida (and Beaches). There are public restrooms in the park next to beach The REAL reason to go to this area is to see the architecture of the area. Very art decco. The Royal Palm is a classic example. Note even the Walgreens was in an art decco building!! There are a lot of great restaurants in this area. You probably only need a half or full day for the visit unless you want to hang out on the beach.
Iconic Miami beach which lives up the hype, absolutely gorgeous beach and view but also relaxed. Beach is miles long and perfect. Feels safe and plenty of life guard coverage when taking a swim. Toilets are nearby next to ocean drive. Recommended.
