About Mission Beach
Mission Beach delivers consistent, user-friendly waves and a carnival-like boardwalk atmosphere that draws families, surfers, and party crowds to its 2-mile sandy stretch in San Diego. The beach's reliable beach breaks and protected coves create forgiving conditions for intermediate surfers, while the iconic wooden roller coaster at Belmont Park and row of beachfront bars give it an old-school California beach town energy that contrasts sharply with nearby Pacific Beach's more laid-back vibe. Swimmers appreciate the generally calm waters in the protected areas, making it one of Southern California's most accessible and family-friendly beach destinations.

Amazing beach with great waves, enough space good restaurants and desserts close by and an amusement park as well, so much to do with not enough time but it was a blast coming here definitely coming back ๐
Very clean, not as crowded as other California beaches, Great boardwalk, nice lifeguards and great waves for boogie boarding. We had an awesome stay
Beautiful beach to visit around sunset! Lots of sand/beach to lay out and just walk around.
Nice beach to watch sunset. There is plenty of parking. Restrooms were filthy.
Best beach in Southern California!
