About Mokulē‘ia Beach
Mokulē'ia Beach on Oahu's North Shore offers consistent, powerful surf conditions that attract experienced wave riders year-round, with winter swells regularly exceeding 10 feet. The long, sandy shoreline backed by lush vegetation and fronted by dramatic reef breaks creates a rugged, less-crowded alternative to nearby Sunset Beach, appealing to surfers seeking serious waves rather than a casual beach day. Strong currents and shallow reef passages make swimming hazardous for most visitors, so the beach culture centers almost entirely on surfing and the tight-knit local community that protects these waters.

The waves were strong and fun to play in. We saw 7 turtles and enjoyed watching from afar. My only complaint would be there is nowhere to rinse off. You need to bring your own water jugs to clean the sand off. The sand can also be a tad bit harsh on your feet.
There's maybe 20 parking spots available but they fill up early. This is a residential area so make sure you don't park in a prohibited area. The parking can be found at 68631 crozier dr. and there's a public access path across from the parking.
Great beach....the sand gets very hot during day. Please use footwear to get to your spot. Not joking. I had blisters under my toes!
Today was a good day at Mokuleia beach. This beach is a great place to visit as it a little off the beaten path. However, one must keep in mind the possibility of baggler sightings exists.
Great beach to take the dogs. Beautiful views.
