About Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk stretches for 1.2 miles along the Grand Strand, featuring a wide, well-maintained promenade lined with shops, restaurants, and amusement attractions that cater to families seeking classic beach entertainment. The calm, relatively warm Atlantic waters and gently sloping sandy beach make it ideal for swimming and wading, while the vibrant, tourist-focused atmosphere draws crowds year-round with its mix of arcades, mini golf, and beachside dining. The boardwalk's pedestrian-friendly design and nearby Myrtle Beach Amusement Park create an accessible, carnival-like energy that distinguishes it from more secluded or nature-focused Carolina beaches.
Visitor Reviews
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a wonderful spot for a family stroll during vacation. The atmosphere is lively and fun, especially in the evenings with live music and street entertainment adding to the vibe. There are plenty of restaurant options to choose from, so itβs easy to grab a bite while enjoying the scenery. The views of the beach are absolutely fantastic, making it a great place to relax and take it all in. We didnβt ride the SkyWheel ourselves, but we heard itβs a beautiful experienceβespecially at sunset. Definitely a must-visit while in Myrtle Beach!
Was pretty awesome!! A lot of stores a ton of people n cars.... It was an experience as well!!! We just walked around for about 2 hours we didn't purchase anything while there not there was a lot of really cool stuff n places. I would have loved 2 visit the Ripley's believe it or not place but it is pretty pricey in my opinion, so we didn't.
Was able to experience during the Christmas season. It was beautiful all light up for the holidays
Love to walk! When we take our family vacation to Myrtle Beach, we always hit the boardwalk! So much to do and see! The largest souvenir shop, known as the Gay Dolphin is always the first stop! So many floors of just about everything you could imagine. Seashells, apparel, postcards and so much more! There is a tower on the front that goes way up and has a fountain that squirts water and is just waiting for the toss of your pennies! Just down the boardwalk is an amazing arcade featuring 2 levels of games. Vintage all the way to most recently produced game! Tickets can be turned in for prizes. Along the boardwalk are tons of sculptures that make for amazing photo ops! Who loves some good beach food? Various restaurants and ice cream stands have some wonderfully delicious items! The Sky Wheel is on site and gives an amazing view of the beach from way up high. If you have never taken a ride in the Sky Wheel, you will want to do this at least once in your lifetime. Donβt forget the actual beach itself which you can view from any part of the boardwalk. The waves, crashing, seagulls dipping down towards the ocean and a view of the pier. Boardwalk makes any person want to walk for exercise or just to enjoy the scenery!
