About Nauset Beach
Nauset Beach stretches nearly two miles along the Atlantic side of Orleans on Cape Cod, offering powerful, consistent waves that make it a premier East Coast surfing destination, particularly during fall and winter swells. The wide sandy beach backed by dramatic dunes and fronted by strong currents and undertows creates an energetic, athletic atmosphere that draws experienced swimmers and water sports enthusiasts rather than casual loungers. Clear offshore views and the beach's exposure to open ocean swells give it a wilder, more dynamic feel than the calmer bay beaches nearby.

I love this beach. Perfect sand, waves, it's clean, bathrooms available. The 4 star is for the price during the day. Everything has gotten very expensive. If you come during the day pack into a minivan or something. Pay by car. We tend to go after 4pm when it's free. You still get some good sun, crowds are typically gone and there is plenty of parking. Not to mention the moon rise is very nice.
Great beach. Friendly patrons, clear blue water. $30 something to park. But we'll worth it! Sea lions, whales and sharks. But they're a distance away. So long story short great family fun! They also have food trucks daily and little pop-up beach stores for last minute things or a boogie board's
Wonderful βfull-serviceβ Atlantic side beach with crashing waves, sand, and amenities. Parking is not free (pay at entrance to lot). Lot is very spacious, so easy to find parking even on a Saturday in July! Also virtually empty until noon - although it was an overcast morning. Even afternoon there was plenty of space to spread out. Sand is soft for New England but still has small rocks. There is an adorable food truck circle with gazebo and picnic tables. 3 food trucks (burgers, burritos, paninis, iced coffee, good but pricy! $15 turkey sandwich??), 1 ice cream truck, and 1 souvenir stall (only 2 food trucks were open tho). This beach has plenty of flush toilets, portapotties, changing stalls, showers, and foot washes. They post daily weather info and tide times outside main office. Lifeguards arrived around 9am. Lots of seals at this beach, which is very neat to watch, but it also means that white shark presence is real. Take appropriate precautions (donβt swim near seals or at dawn/dusk). Very happy that Park Ranger Ron was patrolling the beach making sure nobody tried to harass or touch the seals, as they do get very close to shore and swimmers. Only downside here is that the bathrooms were quite dirty, both the ladiesβ and menβs room had many clogged or broken toilets, out of soap, and other nastiness left in the changing stalls.
Nauset Beach in Eastham, MA, primarily refers to Nauset Light Beach, a popular section of the Cape Cod National Seashore known for its iconic lighthouse, strong surf ideal for swimming and surfing (with caution), and sandy dunes. It's a beautiful, wide beach with challenging waves and a steep path down from the parking lot perched high on the bluffs, but parking fills quickly and has resident restrictions in summer; dogs are often allowed beyond the lifeguard areas. Key Features: Location: Ocean View Drive, Eastham, part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Scenery: Broad, sandy beach backed by dunes, with the famous Nauset Lighthouse nearby. Activities: Swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, beachcombing for rocks and pebbles (not shells). Water: Cool ocean water; strong surf means swimming can be prohibited at times. Parking: Limited; lot fills fast, especially on weekends; some areas restricted to Eastham residents during summer. Facilities: Restrooms available; no public showers. Dogs: Allowed in designated areas, away from lifeguards and nesting birds.
Gorgeous beach !! You can walk along the coastline for a long distance Parking cost 30$, we also saw seals, beware of sharks, also waves can get very big but nonetheless it was breathtaking
