About Norton Point Beach
Norton Point Beach stretches along Edgartown's southeastern shore with calm, protected waters ideal for swimming and kayaking, backed by a natural barrier beach system that creates a unique lagoon environment. The beach offers excellent views of Katama Bay and the Atlantic beyond, with quieter conditions than the more crowded town beaches, making it popular for families and those seeking a more peaceful setting. The area is known for strong currents and sandbars that shift seasonally, which creates interesting conditions for experienced swimmers and a dynamic natural landscape.

Love this place ... amazing drive on beach, very well kept and amazing views. The water is very warm for a new England beach. They have an area to deflate and reflate your tires right off the beach. If youβre gonna be on the beach more than a couple days youβre better off just getting the season pass.
Beautiful place to visit, specially if you can drive your car in the beach. The views are breathtaking and everything is beautiful. Plus the further you go, the quieter it is
Nature is beautiful as always, but The beach is full of cars . The sand is a natural habitat full of animals that deserve our respect and pass on them all the summer with the cars doesnβt seem the right behaviour or at least Iβve never seen it in natural preserved habitats . Iβm surprised there is no environmental rules stated at the entrance
Love the south shore of the island. Paying to go to the Trustees managed portion will provide a cleaner experience. The city doesn't seem to be too keen on picking up trash that is left or washes up.
4wd access beach is awesome. Like having your own private beach front property! Gorgeous...
