About Oak Bluffs Town Beach
Oak Bluffs Town Beach offers calm, shallow waters ideal for families and swimmers, backed by the iconic gingerbread cottages of the historic Camp Meeting Association that create a picturesque Victorian backdrop. The beach attracts a diverse, welcoming crowd and serves as a hub for the town's vibrant summer culture, with nearby shops, restaurants, and the famous Oak Bluffs Harbor just steps away. Fine sand and relatively warm water make it one of Martha's Vineyard's most accessible and social beach experiences.

Nice views, but kind of narrow and crowded. Sand was a weird texture, unlike anything I've experienced on the mainland, and there were lots of seashells to collect.
One of the beautiful beaches on Martha's Vineyard situated literally steps from shops, restaurant, accommodations and the ferry terminal. Don't miss the Back Door Doughnuts on the main drag and the Victorian Gingerbread Houses.
Not impressed with this beach. I have wanted to visit Inkwell Beach since the movie. Just a sliver of sand, mostly shells and rocks when getting in the water so be sure to bring aqua shoes if you come. There was trash on the beach which is unfortunate. There is a lifeguard on duty. If I come back to Martha's Vinyard again, I will try other beaches.
For me, one of the best beaches! Clean and clear. Great to picnic and snorkel, wade and relax.
Cute little area to lay and dip right near the city centre. Its not the best beach by any means, but it gets the job done!
