Popular surfing beach well monitored by life guards (our visit was June/July). Swimming is not encouraged in the area parallel to Bacon. Three large fire pits - we were able to snag one about an hour before sunset and several groups asked about availability after. Save for the fire pits, the beach was fairly empty after dark - perfect for our needs.
#exploringmyworld #wilinwithwiley Still a favorite place to enjoy the beautiful tidepools and rocky cliffline. Cliffs are beautiful and less polluted than the beaches closer to the metropolitan area. These are very nasty with trash and there is a lot of displaced people that loiter in this area. Keep a close eye on your kids and dogs. Things on the ground can be a hazzard such as needles and other toxic items. A lot of intoxicated people in the area.
Absolutely Beautiful! Beware getting too close to the cliffs. But the view and crashing waves against the rocks was picturesque. Parking is limited. But once parked. It was well worth the wait for a space. Beautiful at sunset.
Nice beach to walk around, lots of seaweed and the homeless hangout spot but still beautiful!! 🌊 Hate the pier is permanently closed hope they fix it one day, it's the longest concrete pier on the west coast and has damage so closed... 😢
Very nice usually not busy, and it's perfect if you want to relax or meditate.
