About Papa‘iloa Beach
Papa'iloa Beach in Haleiwa is a narrow, rocky-bottomed cove known for its excellent winter surf conditions and powerful shore break that attracts experienced surfers rather than swimmers. The beach offers dramatic views of the North Shore's rugged coastline and stays relatively quiet compared to nearby Sunset Beach, making it a good spot for surfers seeking challenging waves without the crowds. The rocky terrain and strong currents mean it's best suited for water sports enthusiasts rather than casual beachgoers.

This beach was gorgeous. With maybe 5 other people there. We even saw a green sea turtle. My husband immediately recognized it from the TV show Lost. Highly recommend.
20 years after they shot LOST on this beach it’s still recognizable to any fan. I teared up - it was my bucket list place to visit. When we were there, the beach was empty. Plenty of turtles in the water is a huge bonus.
There's about 10 parking spots available. This is in a residential area, but you can access the parking area at the end of papailoa rd by using 61-789 Papailoa Rd as the address. There's a narrow public access path to the beach directly across from the parking.
Quite remote and difficult to sunbathe at because of the slope of the beach. It was beautiful though and great for picture taking! There are only a few parking spots.
It is a really empty beach. The other place that says Papa'iloa Beach Parking lot is the parking lot for this beach. What would make this beach special is the absence of people which is really nice, it is a nice place to have a picknic and to watch the sunset. Be weary of the parking space though because there isn't much available.
