Beautiful beach with picnic areas, playground, public restrooms and outdoor showers. It's a bit of a hike to get across the dunes to get to the beach. You can walk down part way on the pier. Wear wide sandals in the summer, the sand gets scorching hot.
Love the renovations. Remember this area from my childhood, back when you could still drive on the beach. Awesome staff and super clean bathrooms. Love the updated playgrounds and improvements to help build the dunes back up.
Sweet beach. Dolphins playing and hunting just offshore. No trash in sight, clean water. 10mph breeze from the south, 82 degrees. Definitely worth a day trip.
Has a big play ground and a place to rinse off little children and pets, clean public bathrooms and slot of parking.
Nice family beach if you want to stay local without having to go to the outer banks
