One of the best beaches in the island, hands down. It's always quiet, always beautiful. Soft powdery white sands, warm waters, and gentle waves. Great for swimming or just sitting back and doing nothing. My favorite time is about 30-40 minutes before sunrise. You'll almost always have the whole beach to yourself and the views are unbeatable. 12/10 must visit, I go here all the time.

Sherwood Beach is like right at Waimanalo Beach, where locates the wide open beach, nice swimming area, and gentle wave for body surfing. You will see some area for camping too. Nice to spend a day here to camp out with family and friends while playing beach volleyball, some swimming, and body surfing. Calm waves 🌊 There are some tents could be from homeless people who stay there. And at night time, the full moon is so beautiful. πŸŒ•

If you prefer wide open beaches with powder sugar sand and crystal blue water, this beach is for you. It was nice to get away from Waikiki and the crowds and just enjoy the sun and the sand without a bunch of people around. (There were some people, but we had a good section of the beach to ourselves). There are picnic benches if you want to bring something to eat, and bathrooms with showers by the parking lot.

I have been coming here quiet often during my college years back in 2006-2010 with some of my friends and now while not going to the beach as much, I will stop by occasionally or if there are visitors and they want to see a nice, secluded and usually not crowded beach. Sands are soft and smooth, a few shades from the trees can be found. While the waves are usually small, the waves here is catchable for a short bodysurf ride if you are into that stuff.
