About Ventnor City Beach
Ventnor City Beach stretches along a quiet residential barrier island with calm, shallow waters ideal for families and swimmers seeking a gentler alternative to the more crowded nearby beaches. The wide sandy shoreline backed by charming Victorian homes and a modest boardwalk creates an understated, old-school Jersey Shore atmosphere that appeals to visitors preferring a low-key experience over commercial development. The beach's proximity to Atlantic City and relative affordability make it a practical choice for day-trippers and seasonal renters looking for accessible swimming and sunbathing without the carnival atmosphere of larger resort towns.

Visited on a Tuesday in June and we found street parking right off the beach entrance, which made it easy to carry all our stuff to the beach. There was plenty of space for us to feel like we had some private room for our group. Bathrooms close by at the fishing pier. The lifeguards let us know that we had to stay in front of them to be in the water, so that's something to be aware of, since they were only posted every 100 yards or so. The sand was very clean. We would happily return again.
Great beach! Went on 6/21/25. Found good free street parking a block from the beach. Got there around 10 am and the beach was quite open. Got a great spot close to the water immediately. It was a little annoying only because a gaggle of women set up directly in front of usβ¦. What are you gonna do, itβs a public beach. Some people donβt have much consideration (there was space on either side of us). Beach pass was $20 for the year. The beach and restrooms were clean.
Ventnor City Beach is an absolute gem! The beach is incredibly clean, making it a perfect spot for a day of relaxation or a cozy evening walk. During my visit, it was pleasantly uncrowded, allowing for a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Parking was also a breeze, with plenty of nearby street options available. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and beautiful beach day.
The greatest family beach town. Very friendly locals, cute and cozy houses to rent. Wonderful local eateries. Best tasting foods anywhere. Unspoiled and clean beaches, not overcrowded.
I used to visit this beach when I was in college. A friend was working as a lifeguard, so we would take the casino bus to Atlantic City and her mom would pick us up. When the COVID-19 pandemic happened, I tried to think of the safest place I could bring my family. The week we spent in Ventnor was the perfect respite from what would turn into years of unrelenting stress and work as I tried to keep my family healthy.
