This is a neat little beach. It was clean and fun to visit. Had a fun time with the grands. There a few spots along the way to park. You will need a WA Parks pass to get in, either day or yearly. The road is well maintained and there are great pictures you get. We went on a Friday and it was not super busy. Not sure how the weekends are.
A quiet, small beach with lots of rocks and driftwood. Beautiful views. Very few people on a weekday afternoon.
This is a nice beach, quick easy access from the parking lots near the restroom. There's lots of driftwood and stuff that washes up into the cove here. Watch where you step as some of the smaller rocks and wood pieces could trip you up if you're not careful. Don't come down to the beach when there's a lot of wave action or a sneaker warning. That said, it's a fun cove to explore with good views there are beautiful cliffs Pacific Ocean. This area gets great wave action, which you can more safely view from the parking lot on jetty road to the side of the piles of driftwood. It's a fun place to explore with your camera as well, and there are plenty of picnic tables and grills nearby as well as a restroom at across from the first parking lot. There is a $10 day use fee here, and to make sure to pay it because they do check and I've seen them leaving tickets for cars that didn't pay. In lieu of the $10 days fee, you can purchase a Washington discover pass for $30, which is good for entry into every Washington state park for the year (including this one). This is a far better deal. You can purchase both the day pass and the discover pass from the small building at the entrance station (when the building is open) oar from a kiosk nearby. If you purchase from the kiosk, the receipt that prints out is prone to fading as the year goes on. The ranger in the building has told me you can go into the building or any other building or visitor Center at another state park and switch out your kiosk discover pass for a normal one. You just need to make sure you save the receipt, have it to exchange and it's legible.
What a beautiful, sandy beach! WOW! It's a small alcove of a beach that is surrounded by rock cliffs, driftwood and a lighthouse in the near distance. It's a day use beach that has plenty of picnic tables, grills and restroom nearby. It may not be the easiest beach to access for those with mobility issues but there are plenty of picnic tables and grills that are easy to access on a couple different sides. (There are nearby beaches that are easier to access for those that can walk short distances.) I can see why this beach is a favorite for storm watchers and photographers. No clue if this is a beach you can swim at. We visited early in the morning so we weren't interested in getting in the water. This beach is in a State Park so there is a fee for use, $10 a day or $30 for a year pass. (The pass is good for any WA State Park.) The nearby jetty and drift wood line has a lot of sharp rocks and edges so watching future explorers and climbers is a must.
This is such a beautiful location, this cove is like something from a fictional movie. This is perfect for just sitting and admiring the scenery. Swimming with friends and family. Exploring the surroundings, just plain great spot. I loved it here. Donβt make the mistake I made the first time I came here and overlooked it lol go check it out, I promise youβll love it.
