About Wainscott Beach
Wainscott Beach offers consistently excellent surf conditions due to its eastward-facing exposure to Atlantic swells, making it a favorite spot for local and visiting surfers year-round. The relatively quiet, residential setting keeps crowds smaller than neighboring Bridgehampton beaches, providing a more laid-back atmosphere with pristine dunes and a long, wide sandy shoreline. The water tends to be clearer than western Hamptons beaches, and the beach maintains strong lifeguard presence during summer months while staying accessible for off-season visits.
Visitor Reviews
In case anyone is wondering - the house from Eternal Sunshine is still hereβ¦ (and not exactly in Montauk). Visited on a rather stormy day in mid Feburary, unfortunately the beach was not covered by snow. Otherwise it was just like in the movieβ¦
Is this the beast beach at the Hamptons. I went for a walk on early winter weekend. Just spectacular
