Windy Hill Beach offers consistently calm, shallow waters protected by a natural sandbar, making it ideal for families with young children and beginner swimmers who want safe conditions without undertow. The wide, well-maintained beach stretches along a quieter section of North Myrtle Beach's coast, providing a more relaxed atmosphere than the busier central strand while still offering standard beach amenities like lifeguards, nearby restaurants, and pier access for fishing. The area is particularly popular with kayakers and paddleboarders who take advantage of the gentle waters, and the adjacent marsh and inlet ecosystems attract shorebirds and wildlife photographers.

Good beach but busy. No parking fee after oct 31 st. (See pics). Parking is paved and dirt both ( not a big lot). Yes to bathrooms and yes to sinks to wash hands. Lots of trash receptacles.
Loved it. Not a hip-hop jazzy spot, just a nice beach for families and the older crowd. Parking is plentiful and only a few feet from the beach.
One of many of North Myrtle Beach public beaches offering the likes of sun, sand and seashells. Clean, well maintained family friendly beach with plenty of room for all beach enthusiasts. More than average parking beachside and across the street with pay app and/or QR code. Gone are the days of free shoulder parking as signs line this once coveted grassy oasis. No immediate shopping and/or restaurants but Barefoot Landing and numerous restaurants along the ocean are a short car ride away. Cabana style building offer single unisex bathrooms equipped with a flushing toilet and outside sinks. Nothing fancy, but certainly a step above porta potties. Adjacent showers are available as the likes of umbrellas and chairs can be rented through another QR code. Come get your beach vibe on, collecting seashells and memories and leaving with your tan line bragging rights.
Beautiful beach. Not too crowded when we came in the morning. Got more crowded as time went on, but when we looked down the shore it was definitely busier at other locations. Parking is now $4/hr.
My favorite beach in SC! Not a lot of sky rising hotels so the beaches are never too crowded.
